No Till Garden Cover Crop Mix
Do you plant a garden each year and find that by fall, it becomes overrun with weeds, or maybe you till it at the end of the year and leave your soil bare for six months? This year, consider enhancing your garden's health by planting a cover crop in the Spring, Late Summer, or Fall. This cover crop will help fix nitrogen in the soil, suppress weeds, increase biomass, and offer numerous other benefits.
- Quick germination and fast growth
- This mix features seven seed varieties, each carefully chosen to play a crucial role as a cover crop, ensuring optimal benefits for your soil.
- Requires zero tillage to grow
- This cover crop will help fix your soil's nitrogen, suppress weeds, break up soil compaction, and increase your garden's biomass
- Nitrogen Fixation: This mix includes three types of legumes, crimson clover, hairy vetch, and winter peas. These naturally set nitrogen in the soil, promoting plant growth and improving soil health.
- Soil Compaction: The turnips and radishes in this mix will help decompact the soil through the growth of their bulbs. This enhances soil health by loosening compacted soil, improving water infiltration, increasing aeration, enhancing nutrient availability, supporting root growth, and increasing microsite availability
- Biomass: This blend of seven distinct seeds will significantly boost the biomass in your soil, enriching it naturally and effectively.
- Weed Suppression: This mix establishes rapidly and provides dense coverage, effectively shading out weeds and minimizing their growth.
- Throw and Grow Mix, very easy to establish

I spread this seed blend by hand around my raspberry bushes to help with the soil quality. Looks like there is sprouting in 3 days after 1 good rain
